The unrest in Yemen forced the United States to close its Embassy there. With that Pentagon officials had to admit they lost track of $500 million worth of military equipment.
U.S. officials told the Washington Post that they fear the “small arms, ammunition, night-vision goggles, boats & supplies” may have slipped into the hands of Iranian-backed rebels or Al-Qaida.
In recent weeks, members of Congress have held closed-door meetings with U.S. military officials to press for an accounting of the arms and equipment. Pentagon officials have said that they have little information to go on and that there is little they can do at this point to prevent the weapons and gear from falling into the wrong hands.
“We have to assume it’s completely compromised and gone,” an unnamed legislative aide on Capitol Hill told The Washington Post.
According to the newspaper, this is what is presumed missing:
• 1,250,000 rounds of ammunition
• 200 Glock 9 mm pistols
• 200 M-4 rifles
• 4 Huey II helicopters
• 2 Cessna 208 transport and surveillance aircraft
• 2 coastal patrol boats
• 1 CN-235 transport and surveillance aircraft
• 4 hand-launched Raven drones
• 160 Humvees
• 250 suits of body armor
• 300 sets of night-vision goggles
During the evacuation of the Sanaa embassy, U.S. Marines were ordered to destroy their weapons and depart the country unarmed — a move that sparked backlash among some who argued that service members are taught never to leave their weapons behind.
On Tuesday, Marine Corps Commandant Gen. Joseph Dunford testified on Capitol Hill, saying the decision was backed by the U.S. Central Command as well the Department of Defense in Washington.
This is another case of the U.S. Government arming terrorist. Just leaving military equipment behind that will be used to kill United States men & women of our armed forces. It seems that we are leading from behind again. This Administration has no leadership over its people. This is Fast and Furious all over again, but on a larger scale, when the ATF let the arms go to Mexican Drug Cartels and hundreds of Mexican citizens have been gunned down, and Brain Terry a U.S. Border agent shot dead and the U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has done nothing to date.
To add fuel to the fire the White House has cut the defense budget which means less arms & supplies to our military.
We as Americans need to write our Senators and our Congressmen and women that we as a nation do not want to arm terrorist and put our men & women of our arm forces in danger, to hold these people in charge of this operation accountable.

How do you feel when an elected politician does not want to answer an honest question? Or not tell us the truth about upcoming bills or tax increases. Or telling the voting public what they are going to do when elected, and then they get elected, and don’t follow through with their promise.
It is my belief these people forget who they work for. It’s their duty to tell the public the truth. Not to say no comment or plead the 5th. But I can see where this comes from, this lack of being honest, this turning your back on the laws; do I dare say the government is not upholding the laws of the land, when they do not agree with them? To tell its citizens, you have to buy something you do not want to, or to make a Baker to make a cake when the Baker does not want to! Too pick and choose what laws to uphold, to have the right to take from one group of its citizens and to give to another group. To tell clergy what they can say in the pulpit, for the IRS to come after a particular group of people and harass them.
Let’s go back a few days to the Hilary Clinton State Department email problems. When asked about if she signed documents for turning over all email over to the State Department she has no comment.
When the IRS commissioner Lois Lerner went before congress, she takes the 5th and does, not want to answer honest questions. When the Attorney General Eric Holder and white house lied to congress and refused for months to disclose the truth about the gun running operation dubbed “Fast and Furious”. This marked for the first time that an attorney general was held in contempt of Congress in U.S. history. To date after 2,000 guns went to Drug Cartels in Mexico, hundreds of people died in Mexico and a U.S. Boarder Agent Brain Terry was shot dead. And nothing has been done. No one has answered for this.
More over the Benghazi tragedy has no answers as of now. Four men were killed, one of them an American Ambassador to Libya Christopher Sevens, Sean Smith from the U.S. Foreign Service Information management office. Two other men Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods held off the terrorist for hours before mortar fire took their lives. And I can’t keep from wondering if they were thinking just hold on for maybe one more hour and our troops will be here, someone in our government will protect us, but no one was mobilized. The head people in our own state department still have not answered for this. So I say to you today, the people in government that we pay their salary, we want answers to some of these questions and stop evading.
And for the new Senators and Congressional members just elected that ran on promise’s of getting a balanced budget, to fixing Obama care and protecting America and its borders, we the people are watching and going to hold your feet to the fire to see if you have good character and be true to your promises.
There is a group of students at the University of Irvine California that want to ban the American flag on campus. The student government had a vote March 3 to remove the American flag and all other flags from the lobby of a housing complex where the offices of the student government offices are located.
The resolution passed 6-4. Two people abstained. The author of the resolution was Matthew Guevara. Some of the wording went like this.
“The American Flag has been flown in instances of colonialism and imperialism. Flags not only serve as symbols of patriotism or weapons for nationalism, but also construct cultural mythologies and narratives that in turn charge nationalistic sentiments.”
Reading this I set back and wonder what has happen to my country when students do not want to look at the American flag. Do they really know what the Stars and Stripes represent? Do they know how many men and women died to keep us free from tyranny? What men and women give up for this country? And do I even dare to say the flag represents One Nation under GOD? This is one thing the socialist groups could not understand about America and what the American flag represents. It represents freedom to be what you want to become in life. You don’t get this from government handouts. Have the ability to become wealthy or lead a modest life, to purchase your own land and bring forth a harvest from your own blood and sweet, and be proud of the fruits of your labor.
I myself have an advantage on American patriotism. In 3rd grade I had a teacher Miss Narran who taught her class the American hero’s, the founding Mothers and Fathers. What they did, how they did it and what they give up for America. From Ben Franklin, Nathan Hale to Patrick Henry. It stays with me today some 50 years later. This is something our children are not being taught in the classroom today. They don’t pledge allegiance to the flag or start the day singing GOD bless America or America the Beautiful. We live in a time were NBC blanks out the sound One Nation under GOD when children saying the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
So do we get angry at Matthew Guevara who could be around 20 years old? Or do we get on ourselves for standing by and letting socialist policies get indoctrinated in our classrooms, elect officials into office that do not stand up for American exceptionalism.
We must play an active part in our children and in our grand children's education of our proud American heritage. Teach them to honor our forefathers, our men and women who serve in the armed services. I believe GOD has set us apart among nations to be a beacon of hope to the world and the protector against tyranny.
So I stand here today and say thank you my 3rd grade teacher Miss Narran for teaching me about my American forefathers and my American Heritage. To my Mother and Father in teaching me to be a hard worker and to do the best you can in whatever you do. And to have faith in GOD to live my life the way he would have me to. To try to be the light in a darken world.
